Visit to Timber Trail Parwanoo

Here are the pics of our visit to Timber Trail Parwanoo. Timber Trail is around 275 Kms from Delhi towards Shimla. Best route to reach Timber Trail by road is Delhi – Ambala – Zirakpur – Parwanoo. Nearest railway head is Kalka. The trip was basically to attend the wedding of Dr. Dolly’s daughter Priyam.

Manali Paragliding and Rafting

Yesterday we couldn’t do Paragliding due to rain so we decided to alter our program and go to Solang Valley again. We started bit early today from Manali and reached Solang Valley at around 10 am. It was a beautiful sunny morning and there were lots of people at Solang Valley today. It looked completely different with so many Paragliders flying in the air. We did Paragliding from the topmost point which was Rs.800 per head. The walk to the top was really tiring but once we took off it was awesome. The view of snow clad mountains and the valley below with lots of people looking up was really mind blowing. The flight lasts for around 90 secs. Kids enjoyed Zorbing once again.

Manali – Solang Valley

Yesterday we went to Solang Valley. Its just 25 mins drive from Manali. It was a rainy day. There are many sports activities to enjoy like Zorbing, bike riding, horse riding and paragliding. Beware of touts and the local agents who try to charge you double the rate. People are not very friendly and try to cheat a lot. There is a lot of bargaining. Zorbing is Rs.150 per person and 2 people sit in the Big Ball for Zorbing. Paragliding starts from Rs.600 to Rs.1000 depending on the height, but I thing it is also negotiable. For kids its Rs.500 but its not worth it. We couldn’t do Paragliding because it started raining heavily.

Manali Trip – Snow Point

Yesterday we went to snow point at Marhi, thats around 1 hour drive from Manali. It was really nice and we enjoyed lots of snow actrivities like sledging, skiing, tubing and snow balling. Enjoy the pics.

Manali Vacations – The Start

We started for Manali vacations at 1:30 pm 2nd May’2008 from Noida. It was a pretty hard drive via alternate route that we took via Shahabad – Panchkula – NalahGarh to Swarghat. There was lots of traffic between Panchkula and Nalagarh and virtually no road between Nalagarh and Swarghat. Stay at “The Hill Top” in Swarghat was pleasant.

Today morning we were scheduled to visit Prashar Lake, 40Kms from Mandi. But it looks like am bit unlucky. I was told at Mandi that the road is not in a good condition and since we were traveling with small kids we had to skip the Prashar lake trip and went straight to Manali (Himachal Pradesh). I am writing this from Manali “The Log Huts”.

Its really nice and we are enjoying with our kids! A good start to our Manali vacations.

Manya’s 3rd Birthday

My sister Manya turned 3 on 23rd Sept 2007. We had a great party in KFC, sector 18 NOIDA. She was looking sooo good. There were around 40 of her friends who attended the party and enjoyed. There was a Puppet show also along with many games.

The cake was a huge castle in pink and white. I got a blazing yo-yo and a pouch as a return gift. I really love that. Thank you Manya !
