Manali Vacations – The Start

We started for Manali vacations at 1:30 pm 2nd May’2008 from Noida. It was a pretty hard drive via alternate route that we took via Shahabad – Panchkula – NalahGarh to Swarghat. There was lots of traffic between Panchkula and Nalagarh and virtually no road between Nalagarh and Swarghat. Stay at “The Hill Top” in Swarghat was pleasant.

Today morning we were scheduled to visit Prashar Lake, 40Kms from Mandi. But it looks like am bit unlucky. I was told at Mandi that the road is not in a good condition and since we were traveling with small kids we had to skip the Prashar lake trip and went straight to Manali (Himachal Pradesh). I am writing this from Manali “The Log Huts”.

Its really nice and we are enjoying with our kids! A good start to our Manali vacations.

I am starting a blog today. Basically it is about my life, family and the things I like. I will be adding categories to provide some interesting views and reviews too. Ok let me start with the birth of my elder son Maolik. After going through the pains and excitement I finally gave birth to a baby boy (we named him Maolik meaning unique/valuable/Precious/original) on 26th December 1999 at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital New Delhi in the night. The feeling of becoming a mother was overwhelming.
